Money Forward

This cloud-based accounting software is one of the most user-friendly options available. Since it’s cloud-based, you can access it from anywhere—whether you’re at home, on a business trip, or elsewhere. Once you set up API connections with your bank accounts and credit cards, or import data via CSV, generating journal entries becomes quick and easy.
Yayoi Accounting
This is a widely used and beginner-friendly accounting software. By using Yayoi Drive, accounting data can be shared between the client and the tax accountant’s office. However, it lags behind in terms of cloud capabilities, making it less suitable for those who wish to enter data or review financial statements from multiple locations, such as their office, home, or while on business trips.

freee

This accounting software is well-suited for sole proprietors and businesses that primarily handle cash transactions. It is commonly used by restaurant owners, hair salons, and similar businesses. As a cloud-based system, it allows access from anywhere—whether at home, on the road, or at a business location. However, it may not be ideal for corporations in industries like real estate or construction that require specialized journal entries, or for users who are not comfortable with computer-based tasks.

Chatwork

Many people find email communication to be cumbersome, but using Chatwork can help eliminate that stress. Most of the communication between our office and clients is handled through phone calls and Chatwork. Since it’s easy to attach receipts as photos or PDFs, it becomes very convenient once you’re used to it.

LINE

Most of our clients first contact us through LINE. Many people may feel hesitant to reach out to a tax accountant office for the first time via email or a contact form. However, since LINE is a familiar and commonly used app, we believe it allows clients to contact us more comfortably and casually.
zoom
Initial consultations and post-contract meetings are now often conducted via Zoom. Meeting over Zoom eliminates the need for travel time, allowing for highly efficient communication. Our office serves clients across Japan—from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south.

Philosophy

At Watanabe Tax Accountant Office, we firmly believe that our existence is entirely dependent on our clients. This awareness is the foundation of all our work. Understanding what our clients need and seek—and delivering it—is our highest priority.

We take pride in providing accurate accounting information that supports our clients’ business decisions. Through our services, we help clients in various industries deliver value to society, and in doing so, we contribute to social progress.

Recognizing that clients are the very core of a tax accountant office means we must always remain conscious of how satisfied and appreciative they are. The space and relationship we share with our clients is where we find our sense of purpose.

We believe that achieving both client satisfaction and employee fulfillment through this shared sense of purpose gives true meaning to our role as a tax accountant office.

Although the tax industry faces a challenging environment with the rise of AI and digital transformation, we aim to survive and thrive—not by being swept away by the times, but by holding our ground in a highly competitive and merit-based society.

Our unwavering philosophy is to devote ourselves fully to serving our clients.

Strengths of Our Office

Strong in Tax Audits

There is no need to be overly anxious about a tax audit. If you have doubts about a tax examiner’s findings, it is important not to accept them blindly, but to negotiate calmly and persistently, based on the appropriate tax laws—even if it takes some time. When a tax examiner makes a claim based solely on their subjective judgment, we keep a proper record of the exchange through means such as certified written statements during the negotiation process.

Strong in Financing

The key to financing is determining which financial institutions to build relationships with on a regular basis. You should choose your banking partners based on factors such as which institutions are willing to lend when needed and which ones respond quickly and flexibly. It is also important to maintain a good relationship with local financial institutions.

Strong in Information

We regularly communicate and exchange information with lawyers, judicial scriveners, social insurance labor consultants, real estate appraisers, and financial institutions. If needed, we can promptly introduce each relevant expert. Additionally, we actively share information about tax reforms, subsidies, grants, and financing with our clients through phone calls, Chatwork, and other communication channels.

DX: Minimizing Stress Through Digitalization

API Integration

By using API integration, transactions from bank statements and card details can be automatically recorded into journal entries. At first, there may be mistakes in the account categories, but the AI will gradually correct them. Automating this process helps reduce human errors.

Cloud Shared Folders

Using letter packs or courier services for document exchange with clients can be cumbersome, as it requires writing addresses and names, which adds unnecessary steps and is very inconvenient. To eliminate this waste of time and enhance convenience for our clients, we have set up a cloud shared folder for document sharing between our office and the clients.

E-Tax Payments

E-filing has become the norm, but many people still receive tax payment slips from their tax accountant office and physically go to the bank to make their payments. However, by registering your bank account initially, you can easily make electronic tax payments from your office or other locations without needing to go to the bank.
